Creative Blinds is a family-run window covering company serving the Houston area. We measure, order, and install custom blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery for homes and commercial spaces, working as an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer.
Most of our work starts with an in-home consultation, because window coverings are one of the few purchases where a quarter-inch matters.
Homeowners in the Houston metro who are remodeling, moving into a new build, or finally replacing blinds that came with the house.
We also work well with builders, interior designers, and property managers who need multiple units furnished on a schedule.
If someone mentions bare windows, harsh afternoon light, or a room they can't use in the summer — that's a good introduction for us.
“We've run this business in Houston for years, and the part that has always mattered most isn't on the invoice — it's the installer who shows up on time, the supplier who's still in business a decade later, the customer who calls us again for their next house. TransparenC is the first thing we've seen that asks a business to actually write that down. We don't have all seven answers yet. We'd rather join and improve than wait until we look perfect.”

Our work is measured, custom-made, and installed, so a mistake is expensive for us and disruptive for the customer. We remeasure before ordering and stand behind installations. Repeat and referral business is the majority of our work.
We work with a small team of installers, several of whom have been with us for years. Installation is skilled work and we pay accordingly rather than treating it as interchangeable labor. We have not yet formalized benefits, and we know that's a gap.
We are an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer and buy from a small number of long-standing suppliers rather than chasing the lowest price each quarter. Our volume supports their manufacturing and rep network.
Every job is in the Houston metro, and the money spent with us largely stays here through local installers and local suppliers. We'd like to do more deliberate community work and haven't yet.
Not yet documented. Energy-efficient window coverings measurably reduce cooling load, which is significant in Houston — but we haven't measured or documented it, so we're not going to claim it.
